Bungalow
New York, NY

After weeks of trying, we finally snagged a reservation at Bungalow by Vikas Khanna.
The evening began with drinks at the bar to start the night.

For appetizers, we ordered the yogurt kababs and lamb chops. The yogurt kababs were the standout of the course—crisp on the outside with a warm, creamy center resting over a vibrant reduction.

The lamb chops were rich and tender, crusted with spices and served over a smooth puree with pickled radishes and microgreens.

For mains, we shared the Chicken Amrit (butter chicken) and the kokum salmon. The butter chicken had great depth, finished with a cream swirl and slivered almonds, and paired naturally with fresh naan blistered straight from the tandoor.

The kokum salmon brought a bright, tangy coastal note, roasted in the tandoor and plated over a vibrant crimson beet and kokum sauce.

Dessert was the rose kulfi, molded into petals and accented with fruit coulis, white chocolate shards, and crushed pistachios.

Chef Vikas Khanna stopping by our table added a genuine, personal touch to the dinner.
